The Book of Romans

This course is a survey of Paul's letter to the Romans. Students will explore the ethno-socio-political context of the Roman church, trace the unfolding theological argument of the letter — including questions of salvation, identity, and the relationship between Jews and Gentiles — and learn to integrate Paul's message into faithful, Christ-centered preaching and teaching.

"WHAT DOES PAUL'S LETTER TO THE ROMANS SAY TO US TODAY?"

The book of Romans is one of the most important letters ever written. In this study of three major parts, we will trace Paul's argument from the problem of sin to the glory of the gospel — so that we can understand, believe, and live the message of Romans.

CONTEXT

An introduction to the historical and cultural world behind Romans. You will discover who Paul was writing to, why he wrote, and what the tensions between Jewish and Gentile Christians reveal about the gospel Paul preached.

CONTENT

In this segment, we go deeper into the theological heart of Romans — exploring Paul's argument about sin, righteousness, salvation, and the people of God, so that we can understand what Paul is saying and why it still matters.

COMMISSION

Explore what it means to live out the message of Romans. You will discover how Paul calls the church to embody the gospel — offering themselves to God, loving one another across every division, and becoming the community Christ died to create.
